So annoyed with my neighbours!!!!

January 31, 2009

Gosh!

So annoyed!!!

you know what they’re doing now??????????????

They’re having a party!!!!!!!!!!!!!

with lion dances and, and EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

THey just had an amazing display of fireworks. needs a pyrotechnic  (correct spelling?) to handle it.\

oh wow. the fireworks they had… T.T

it was so freaking BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

like with different colours and everything, and exploding up into the air.

gosh!

it went on for like 3+ mins.

according to a friend, if you have huge big fireworks, it’ll cost 20grand for 5 mins!!!

0.0!!!!!!!

who would want to pay that much just for a five minute show.. =.=

but oh oh!!!!

so beautiful the fireworks. better than the one they had in austria.

and they ended it with something called a ‘willow’ (or at least that’s what loisy called that kind of firework design.)

but the one they blew up before the willow was a more fitting finish to the show. cos it had all different colours, red, green, yellow and others exploding in all different directions.

you know why i’m annoyed with my neighbours?

They didnt invite us =.=

gosh. the malaysian spirit of neighbourhood. whenever got party also only invite their friends. don’t invite their own neighbours. i bet they don’t even know our names……..=.=

How to Talk to Anyone

January 31, 2009

yep yep. :D Bought a book recently and its title was

HOW TO TALK TO ANYONE by Leil Lowndes

lol. i don’t normally buy these kind of books. in fact, i’ve never bought this kind of books before. but dunno why, when i walked into mph and saw it on display along with other ‘talk to others’ books, i was just attracted to it.

lol. a sign, maybe?

mummy’s always on my case about getting along with people. why, i don’t get along well with people meh….

actually, i don’t. :P

no relationship building skill at all.

so anyway, was browsing through, and was really really amazed with this book. it’s really really good!!!

I mean, like in readers digest or in other magazines, all they tell you is smile when you meet people, and all those nonsense, but they don’t give you the details.

For example, if you are in a very high position, and want to be respect (as a woman in position), you should not be too generous in your smile. everytime you want to smile, wait a second before you do so. why? it looks more genuine. if you smile too quick, its as if you’re placating your clients or polishing their shoes. smiling one second later makes your smile seem more real and genuine.

and another, always prevent giving a fullstop answer. as in, if a person asks you where are you from, don’t just say kl. cos it’ll be hard for people to continue the conversation after you. if you were to say kl. we have a twin tower which used to be the tallest building in the world before china built theirs (hehe. i’m not so sure. just making it up. :P ) anyway, the point is, to give people a bait, if you’d call it, to continue on to their next sentence. like if you’re working as a laywer, say i’m working as a lawyer in this firm. and now i’m currently handling a case where the single mother sued a company for unjust……. if you’re talking to a single mother, then you both can continue on to how it feels to be a single mom, how a company treats you, blah blah blah.

and, there’s the ‘whatzit’ technique. if you’re in a party, always were something that is really different. say a special necklace. so if there’s someone new who would like to talk to you, they could come up to you and say, that’s a very special necklace. blah blah blah. the point is to give a person something to say when they come up to you. like, you may want to talk to this really cute guy/girl but don’t know how to begin….

many other stuff. like what to go on after hi, the big-baby pivot, epoxy eyes (this is a really REALLY strong eye contact. won’t tell you what’s it. go read the book yourself! :P ), sticky eyes (mild version of epoxy eyes)

i’ve only just started reading it. but so far, its a pretty solid book. :D

don’t just take my word for it. go read it yourself!!! :D

FireCrackers!!!! *pow* *pow*

January 31, 2009

lol.

fiery title. :p

spending cny in Kl is not too bad. still incomparable to spending it in singapore but, oh well. since can’t be there, might as well try our best to make it fun here. :p

got lots of house visits. which would explain why our supply of chinese cookies and stuff are horrendously depleted. =.=

gosh!

the fireworks here….

at the stroke of midnight on cny eye, we waited with bated breath in anticipation for the first firecracker to be blown up into the air.

*ding* *dong*

12 am. 12 am.

*sucks in breath, look up to the sky*

*bird whistling sound*

12.05 am…..

*cricket* *cricket*

12.07

*cricket* *cricket*

12.30

*cricket* *cricket*

1am

*cricket* *cricket*

ok. by now…. its kind of obvious there’s not going to be any huge fireworks going off… =.=

unlike in singapore…

T.T

in singapore, if you’re standing around esplanade, there’ll be HUGE fireworks

there’s one where they did the whole lunar calendar animals!!!

there’re small mini fireworks shows a few days before cny eve too. though not as big as the ones at 12am cny day 1.

T.T

gosh.

but oh well…. might as make the best of it….

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
hehehehehhe

knowing that daddy and marmies were buying fruits and stuff in the pasar malam, loisy and me quickly went to the stall behind them who were selling firecrackers!!!

kekekeke…..

they were quite cheap, you know. but only 3 varieties.

1- bumblebee

you light it up, run as FAST as you can. why?

well, its supposed to crackle a bit, then it’ll shoot straight up in the air with a loud bang, leaving burned stones in its place.

but…. why run le?

cos the cheap ones that we bought had defectives one in it….. some, instead of flying straight up, flies to the right/left, threatening to crack (pardon the pun) whoever who’s standing there. some fly low on the ground in large circles. so its always a good idea to run away as far as you can from the spot.

2- alien

lol. this was loisy’s favorite. what it does is goes flying round and round on the ground. til it blows up in smokes. if you put a used alien near it, the new one will, hmm… what’s the correct england to say it, be fired up? as in the paper alien will be burned and you can see fire around it. if you throw ANOTHER new alien, the new alien will light up. :p

fun!!!

3- champagne

this one, what it does it crackles up on the ground. lol. dunno how to explain………

i have pics that we took while playing at my cousin’s house but too lazy to load. :P

later le…..

gosh. we tried going everywhere but couldn’t find anywhere to buy more… T.T

we tried chinatown and alor but still no luck… T.T

friend’s supplier is in uk studying =.=

Boys Before/Over Flowers

January 15, 2009

It’s either before or over since different sites have it in different titles

I’m so totally loving this drama!

Finally, a korean version of it. There’s a taiwanese version  and there’s a japanese version. Kind of not really either cos in the former, the acting was just…. really really REALLY bad. and in the japanese version…. the lead is kind of too skinny to  display any kind of male strength. =.=

now in this korean version, gosh! The lead guy is just too hot!!!! and the second guy from the left. but this guy can’t act. he acted in another quite good drama, rude/dangerous women (or something like that) and he was quite terrible in that. good this his role in this require him to be stiff while talking.

hehe. i don’t normally praise guys on my blog like this, ok. give me a breather.

The whole storyline is really really good and the acting from both the lead girl and guy was also quite good. but the lead girl, sometimes i feel like she’s just overdoing it a bit. But i’ve watched her in other shows that she  did and she acter really really well there. I think maybe she just interpreted the character as someone who has to act cute 60% of the time. =.=

but the guy acting rui (vic zhou’s role in meteor garden)….. he can’t act much… =.=

get so annoyed sometimes. like in ep 3 when he was dancing……. (you go watch it)

anyways, you can catch it on mysoju.

it just started showing last week so only 4 eps’ve been done. so that would make it… hmmm….10 more weeks before its done… T.T

adoi. wish its already done so can watch all at one go…. :S

I miss You

January 14, 2009

When you tell people you miss them, do you really?

How do you know you miss them?

What kind of feeling do you get when you miss them?

I mean, you’re still moving on with your life and everything. not as if you’ll go lie down on bed and think. ok. now its missing friends time. lets see who i miss. ok i miss a, i miss b i miss c…. like…. =.=

I think its like……

its not that i miss them everytimes, but just at times when it really hits that they’re really gone….

like when pei wen and jay yan first left, you go to church expecting to sit next to them and say hi and hangout after service. but when you’re there, its like………………. oh yeah. they left. but at other times, its like…. (hehe. sorry to be so out with it) i don’t really miss them. i mean, i miss that i cant go out with them. not that we go out together very often, but like when you just wanna hangout, you cant just pickup the phone and ask them out. but then. i don’t miss them while i’m driving or eating or studying or whatever. but its just at certain times. like when you’re so used to see them at that time but suddenly they’re not.

or like when noelles left, and i’m in singapore. like the first thought would be to call and ask if she’s in jb but then…. remember she’s in adelaide (at that time)

or like when loisy left. actually, the first time she left, i was like… ok. see you. bye! but after that its like…… what? you going back now??? why so soon? but then, when she’s around also. its not like we spend time 24/7. it’ll be like how it was years ago, before she left. i guess its just the normality of it. like, you’d go down for dinner expecting her there, but she not. or go to her room in the morning to sneakily take her clothes while she’s sleeping but then realize that no need to sneak in on tiptoes cos she’s not even there

How do you know you’ll miss someone?

would you really miss them or just the normality of them being there?

Like because they’re always at that same place at the same time so when suddenly there… you feel so different? is that what you’d miss?

And I’m MOVING!!!

January 14, 2009

Okla. not so kua cheong. Not moving la. Just….. going away for 2 years. T.T

I dunno… I’m  kind of having mixed feelings about this…. I mean, I’m really thankful I have this opportunity, but at the same time, I’m like… T.T

I love Malaysia too much!!!
Well, ok. just the people I know and the hot weather here and the food and the church. The rest……. don’t bother. I definitely wont be missing the people who i will not be mentioning because i don’t want to be made an example of for daring to talk bad about what they’re doing to my beloved country. If i’m speaking in riddles you cannot understand…. don’t bother trying to understand. the less you know, the better. (so cryptic. hehe)

but gosh. so irritated with them. what can a small ant do against, say….. a hippotamus. NOTHING, right? so why bother interfering. =.= (right spelling?)

ANYWAYS

for months…. i’ve been trying to escape the fact that i’ll be going away soon. like shutting it off my mind. like not being the one who did the bookings and everything. not enrolling or booking my accomodation or doing what i’m supposed to do. most of my friends are really excited and have been talking about it, but for me…. i’d rather not talk about it at all. its just that…. well… i’m petrified. not scared, but PETRIFIED. a whole new country…. no emotional support physically…. everything’s just so DIFFERENT there….. dunnola….

Today, dees passed me the luggage to pack my clothes in, and like….. *ba-thump* it just hit me really hard. I’m really going…. in just3 weeks time……adoi…. T.T i’ll probably miss my bed and pillows and blankets the most T.T (for material things la)

Don’t get me wrong. I’m really really thankful to God so i’m not complaining. Its just the reality’s kind of hard to take it in. sigh……
